The Indian Bank released a notification for the recruitment procedure of hiring eligible candidates for Probationary Officer (PO) on their official website; indianbank.in. All the interested aspirants can apply for the available vacancies on or before August 27. At present Indian Bank has invited applicants for a total of 417 PO openings. Detailed notification is published by the authorities online. The candidates are recommended to read the notice first and know the eligibility criteria before filling the applications. It is further stated that the recruitment exam for the same will be conducted on October 6, 2018.

Those who are looking to become a Probationary Officer, the applicant must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. A candidate should be between 20 to 30 years to apply for the position. However, age relaxation rules apply to the reserved categories which are mentioned well in PO recruitment advertisement. The selected candidates will have to study a one-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance Course (PGDBF) at Indian Bank Manipal School of Banking (IBMSB) which is jointly established by Indian Bank and Manipal Global Education Service Pvt Ltd.

Like other regular banking exams, the selection process is based on three stages; Preliminary, Main examination followed by an interview. To apply, the aspirants should visit the official website of the Indian Bank. It is important to note that, the call letters will be available to download after September 24 and the result of the Prelims will be announced on October 17. The Bank had further notified a tentative date for the main exams to be held on November 4.
