And now, she plans to work on the same blueprint of a biopic with strong female characters with Deepika Padukone on board. The actress will be essaying the role of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Agarwal is the flagbearer and the face of the initiative that strives to fight against acid attackers and for the victims and survivors to live freely. On the same, Agarwal was inquired about her thoughts on Deepika playing her in the film.

Laxmi Agarwal was 15 when a 32-year-old man threw acid on her face citing unrequited love as the reason behind his action. However, instead of hiding her face from the society, Laxmi has now become the face of the awareness campaign that fights for acid attack survivors. Various publications in India as well as abroad has covered her story of courage and bravery. Agarwal has also been receiving tremendous support for her petition to curb the sale of acids in the country. Deepika Padukone, who will be playing her in the movie, will also be producing the film.
